John’s ability to transcend genres and seek out new, pioneering music has led his unique sound to be labeled the ‘J00F sound’. Incorporating elements of trance, progressive and psy-trance, John’s sonic appeal is far-reaching.
“I’m in a unique position where I play a whole range of clubs and festivals across the world covering all musical genres,” says John. “I’m simply a DJ that plays music I like, and this can take me across many musical boundaries. I prefer to have no rules or genre tags, because in the real world, rules don’t exist. I play to any situation that I’m presented with; my ‘musical tools’ allow me to take control of the dancefloor.”
2009 has already seen remixes for rock megastars Muse and Nine Inch Nails. John has had 10 mix compilations and 5 singles in the UK Top 40 charts on labels including Virgin, EMI and Warner Music.
